Day 1: Therapists will do an extensive study of the musculoskeletal and neural anatomy of the neck. They will palpate each of the individual muscles on themselves and others. Common neck injuries will be covered, with an emphasis on Whiplash and Thoracic Outlet Syndrome. Release techniques and PNF stretches will be practiced from the Prone, Side-lying and Supine positions, including techniques for working with the vulnerable anterior neck.
Day 2: In this seminar, therapists will review the musculoskeletal and neural anatomy of the shoulder and arm. Common injuries to the shoulder, elbow, wrist, and hand will be examined including Rotator Cuff injuries, Thoracic Outlet Syndrome, Tennis Elbow, Golfer’s Elbow, and Carpal Tunnel Syndrome. Release techniques and PNF stretches will be practiced from the prone, side-lying, and supine positions.
