This course is designed for LMTs seeking to understand the realities of pregnancy and postpartum and how to adapt their massage sessions to provide meaningful, layered support for this special group of clients. This course engages participants through discussion, live demonstration, and hands-on practice.
Participants will build a foundation of knowledge about common physical, emotional, and social changes clients experience during the transformational perinatal phase and how to accommodate their unique needs. Topics include: benefits and contraindications specific to perinatal clients, understanding and communicating special considerations, client positioning, safe and confident draping, massage techniques, and marketing best practices.
