Day 1: Rehabilitative Massage: Rehabilitation of the Hips / 6 CUEs In this seminar, therapists will do an extensive review of the musculoskeletal and neural anatomy of the hip and pelvic region. They will address major injuries to the hip region including working with hip replacements. They will explore the protective pattern relationship between the hips and shoulders and between the hips and knees. Pelvic decompressions as well as abdominal release to both the muscles
and digestive system of the abdomen will be practiced. Rehabilitative and stretching techniques will be practiced from the prone, side-lying, and prone positions.
Day 2: Rehabilitative Massage: Rehabilitation of the Back / 6 CUEs This seminar will focus on making a pain/postural assessment of the back and then building a plan and procedure for rehabilitation. Common spinal disc disorders and
spinal curvature disorders (Lordosis, Kyphosis, Scoliosis) will be reviewed. Therapists will study protective patterns and learn to predict and search for compensating and anchoring regions. Back release techniques and stretches will be
practiced from the prone, side-lying, and supine positions.
