Pre-requisite Workshop(s):
CranioSacral Therapy 1 (CS1); and reviewing, assimilating and applying what was presented in CS1. This course is intended for licensed or certified healthcare professionals.

Description:
As you may know, the course material and hands-on sessions will focus on cranial base dysfunctions, the masticatory system-hard palate, mandible and temporomandibular joint; whole body evaluation; and the energy cyst with regional unwinding. An introduction to SomatoEmotional Release will also be presented.

Advance Preparation:
Download and complete a handy preparation checklist here: https://iahedisk.synology.me:7456/sharing/SOzLNcEvb
COMPLETE AND BRING WITH YOU TO CLASS. Your CS2 teacher will ask for it on the first morning of class.

As a student transitioning from CS1 into CranioSacral Therapy 2 (CS2), prior to CS2 attendance, it is strongly recommended that you:

~Practice palpating the craniosacral rhythm on clients, friends, and yourself
~Find an experienced CS therapist in your region and get treated
~Practice the 10 step protocol so that you can feel subtle rhythm changes; work with a variety of different people; are able to move through the CST 10 step sequence easily and without needing support to determine next step; and have confidence in your palpation skills. This can be attained for most students in 30-50 10 step protocols.

The required reading for this course is CranioSacral Therapy by John E. Upledger, DO, OMM, Chapters 7-15, available at https://shop.iahe.com/Product-List/Textbooks/Craniosacral-Therapy and Chapter 3 of CranioSacral Therapy II: Beyond the Dura by John E. Upledger, DO, OMM, available at https://shop.iahe.com/Product-List/Textbooks/CranioSacral-Therapy-II-Beyond-the-Dura

If you can say yes to all the above elements, you should be ready to successfully proceed to CS2.

Reviewing course videos of CS1 is very valuable for students - it helps ensure you are ready to move to the next level of learning. Reviewing videos on-line of class content is available to IAHP Medallion Members. If you are not already a member, contact us at 800.311.9204 or 561.622.4334, or join on line at http://www.iahp.com/pages/benefits/index.php

Supplies:
PLEASE BRING A MASSAGE/TREATMENT TABLE. Due to liability issues, meeting sites may not allow banquet tables to be used as treatment tables. Additionally, treatment tables provide a safer and more comfortable environment for the lab portion of class. We understand some travel may not make massage/treatment table transport possible – when you receive an email from us asking about massage/treatment tables, please simply reply accordingly.

AFTER you sign in and pick-up your name tag at the seminar, set your massage/treatment table in front of the pre-set chairs in the meeting room.

When needed or desired, you are expected to provide your own face mask and eye goggles/glasses for mouth work and other similar and appropriate lab times.

Attire:
Wear loose, comfortable clothing (preferably no jeans.) A light jacket is recommended because temperature can be difficult to control. Due to potential chemical sensitivities of your classmates, please refrain from wearing perfumes or oils to class.

Times:
Registration begins at 8:00 a.m. on the first day of class. A continental breakfast will be served until 9:00 a.m., at which time the workshop will begin. Subsequent class hours are from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. daily, and the last day will meet from 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Workshop scheduled times are approximate and class may run over to ensure that the material is sufficiently covered. In addition to regularly scheduled course hours, you will be asked to perform, and to receive, a complete 10-step protocol sometime between the end of the first day, and the beginning of the second day. These protocols need to include the material you will learn during day one of the seminar.
