Renee Stenbjorn

Renee Stenbjorn, LMT, RN, has been a massage therapist and instructor for many years. She graduated from East West College of the Healing Arts in 2000. Her love for teaching began immediately when she started instructing the science courses at EWC in 2002. Since that time, she has developed a large repertoire of courses, many based on the science of massage and the human body as well as Western-based massage modalities. She has been perfecting her Neuromuscular Therapy classes since 2019. In each course, she delves into the science of myofascial treatments, trigger point therapy and proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation. Her unique blend of work has been used by many massage practitioners who have taken her courses.

Her classes will help you learn how to address the body on your table by knowing your kinesiology, understanding which techniques should be applied for the presenting problem, and be knowledgeable about the work you are doing.

When Renee is not in the classroom or at the massage table, she is pursuing her new career as a Surgical Nurse at Santiam Hospital in Stayton, OR. She completed her Bachelor of Science in Nursing during the tail end of the pandemic and is constantly being challenged in her new field.

With whatever time is left over, Renee enjoys spending time with her beloved dog, Ursa, roaming the wine country of Oregon and California, or being close with her friends and family.

Renee’s additional work has included spearheading massage research projects, starting a massage school and dabbling in cannabis massage treatments. She has participated in workshops in St. John’s neuromuscular therapy, Anatomy Trains work and many local teachers who have imparted so much knowledge.
